Once upon a time there was a cat which wanted to get married and, put a beautiful jib to the neck, was appeared at the window. All the animals were watching at her and were doing her the compliments for his beauty.

Passò un topolino.
- Signora gatta che fai affacciata alla finestra? -
- Eh! Mi voglio maritare. -
- Vuoi sposare me? -
- Fammi sentire la tua voce! -
- Ziii, ziii!- Squittì il topolino.
- Che bella vocina che hai! - Disse la gatta. - Sali, sali sopra che ti voglio sposare! -
Il topolino salì sulla finestra e si avvicinò alla gatta che cominciò ad accarezzarlo:
- Che belle orecchiette che hai, che bella codina e che bei baffetti! - Diceva la gatta che pian piano sfoderava le unghie. Poi, quando il topolino non se lo aspettava, lo afferrò e lo mangiò.

This anecdote is a tale which was told to the children with the main purpose to teach them the call of the animals. The conclusion however contains also a moral: do not trust too much who praises you!
