An unusual document was found in an old suitcase in a dusty cellar of Fallo: a notebook containing some Italian composition assignments. Presumably, the author of the assignments (1953-1954) must have attended high school and many of the compositions assigned make reference to life in our town. The one reported here, is the story of a fire in Fallo in which the author was involved. The "text format" reproduced with details allows for the complete reading and the enjoyment of the total narrative. The words in parentheses and shown in a different color represent the corrections made to the original by the supposed professor of Italian who corrected the homework. Good reading!
