The document goes back to June 18, 1927 and deals with a legal proceeding drawn between a carriage driver and a farmer.

Previous payment of 746.79 lire (which at the time was a considerable sum) allows the farmer to attach his construction to a wall that belongs to the carriage driver.

Note in the first page, written in pencil in the upper right corner, the total amount of the fee due to the expert: 14.10 lire subdivided in 2.10 lire for "rights" and 12.00 lire for the registration of the document. Naturally that doesn't include the 3.00 lire for the notarized paper.
