LA FRUSCIAROLE

Frankly we don't know the exact Italian or English term to translate the name of this object.

The name in dialect is "fruscelle" or "frusciarole".

It is a kind of basket in which people prepared and preserved some typical fresh cheeses.

It was a "hand made" object obtained by interwoven brooms or rushes. Its size was always variable according to the personal necessity of the family.

In order to be ironical about someone with a big nose, people said "his nose looks like a frusciarole.!"
