Really "precious" are the many details of this picture taken in the late 1950's.
In it are immortalized people and customs so dear to us. How can we forget people like the father of the groom or the old lady next to the banner, or the city hall official leaning against the wall of the house in the background?
But if you look carefully, you will find so many well-known faces. How can anyone miss the expression on the bride's face? The short bridal gown must have been a revolutionary innovation for those times! And finally what can be said of the banner happily carried in the wedding party and of the children looking frantically for the coins and confetti (sugar coated almond candies) thrown from the windows?
These were traditions no longer used now. It would be interesting to suggest to today newlyweds to re-introduce them....
