THE CELEBRATION OF A MASS This photograph, taken to Fallo on July 12th, 1945, can definitely consider him as one of the historical photos of our country; is the celebration of the first mass by an ours fellow countryman that has chosen the priesthood road: Don Antonino Catinella (by everybody known as Don Antonio).
There was a period, that falling about at the years forty and fifty, in which in the young people the seminary recall were many strongly heard. It was certainly reason of boast and considered a rare privilege to have a priest at home: this makes the photo even more precious. |
