THE FEAST OF ST. PIO DA PIETRELCINA 2004 This, as what follows, is an
image of the "festa" in honour of San Pio from Pietrelcina who, after
rising to the Glory Of the Altar, is now commemorated by the faithful
ones with a night procession which takes place during the evening before
to the "fest" of St. Vincenz. Is a remarkable torch-light procession
that, wind allowing, allows going through the town streets supporting
a lit candle. Here we see the church-square where the band, waiting
for the statue of the saint to exit, tunes up one of its characteristic
passages. On a duly organized table, there are candles which each faithful,
upon leaving the church, will take with him in procession. |
