MAN WITH CIGAR The date of when this picture was taken is not known, but certainly it is an original picture. Of particular interest are the hat placed on the shelf, the cigar in the right hand, and the showy ring on the left ring finger of the man. The trousers, visibly short, were indeed very fashionable at the time. The shoes, on the other hand, were probably too big. The picture was obviously taken in America, and all leads to believe that the protagonist sent it, as it was customary then, to his family in the village to show them the degree of success attained. |
