It is a very beautiful picture probably dating from the last years of the1950's. The place is very famous even because it is located on the main street of the town, immediately after the square. Well known and almost historical is the person leaning on the rail at the top of the stairs. Presently that stairway doesn't exist, but then, on one of the first steps, there was a hole used by the chickens to get into the "stallette" (the little stable) located under the stairway. Presently the road is narrow as it was in that time, but with a difference: then one could leave a cart in the middle of the road with peace of mind, without the danger of being run over by the passing automobiles.
